Crossplay Coming to Fortnite Xbox One
New Announcement today for your Fortnite players out there, some of you might already know this news, but I shall with you just in case. Today Epic Games dropped some nice details on the crossplay and cross purchases between Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and in the new few months Android users. Bring it on!
“Contrary to what may have been implied, Microsoft has long been a leading voice in supporting cross-platform play, connecting players across PC, mobile and all consoles. We’ve been working together with them over the last several months to make this possible and will bring this functionality to Fortnite players on Xbox right along with other platforms. With each new platform we support and every update we ship, we strive to bring Fortnite to more people and make it easier to play together with friends. And, as always, cross-play is opt-in.”
That is great news but still bugs me just a little bit that we still can’t get crossplay with the consoles and I do hope that Fortnite comes to Nintendo Switch because taking that on the go with the switch would be fun. Now PS4 has had this feature for a while and now it is coming to Xbox, but you still need to connect Xbox and PS4 people.
Fortnite is growing in the right direction and doing an amazing job by keeping players notified of things to come. This Monday you can sign-up for the Fortnite Invite Event on iOS. No matter what device you use either phone or tablet Fortnite is the same game with the 100 player base that you will see on the Xbox One and PS4. Get out there and dance your way to victory players and I hope to see you on. – Beast Out –
