My Initial D experience is a fanboy’s journey and yes that is right I am a fanboy when it comes to Initial D. I first got into the Anime and then I sought out the Manga which both had a great experience to me. I even did an article talking about a prequel to follow the life Takumi’s Father Bunta Fujiwara before he was a dad. I have played the PSP version of Initial D and checked out the Arcade games at Chinatown Fair, but I passed up on the Import PS3 version because of financial reasons. Hey, imports are expensive at times, the PSP version cost me 80 dollars alone. Now, today Sega unleashed a fleet of videos showcasing a new Initial D game and I nearly drifted out of my chair.
Good Gaming Day to you all and welcome to this new post about the announcement of the Sega Mega Drive Mini. It was bound to happen with the success of the Nintendo Mini’s and now it is Sega’s turn to shine. However, I do have my problems with these mini systems since there is no room to add on roms without having to do some modifications and of course the limited sales of them. This is not why we are here, because as an old console war soldier being on the side of Sega Genesis I have my own list of games I would like to see.
I am not going to lie to you gamers that I thought there were talks about a new Splinter Cell game coming out, but instead, they are just dropping Sam Fisher into the world of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. This is new content that will be dropped into the main game as well as the pvp mode filled with new Splinter Cell content. So what will be in it for us?
It came down to a question that I was asked in a discussion a while ago, “How can they improve upon god of war?” Honestly, when we first saw the new graphics and got an idea of the storyline we were already sold, but I guess the developers wanted to seal the deal by giving us a look into the evolution of the combat system. For some that do not know God of War has always been an action hack and slash with some RPG elements thrown in. It made it a great game to get into for some massive destruction against the gods. Since you have killed them all off where were we going to go from there? Norse Gods need a bit of adjustment it seems.
Welp, I for one am shocked by the turn out of Final Fantasy XV which from the demo looked promising, however, it wasn’t my cup of tea. I did like the combat style of each player though and it seems they want to bring that same style to Tekken 7 coming March 20th. Let’s dive into some details.
Seems like a lot of game related companies are throwing in incentives to join their memberships. I have been an Amazon Prime member for a while now and since it ties with Twitch account. I have seen some nice benefits from being a Twitch prime member. I recently just downloaded Devil May Cry HD Collection for the PC through Twitch prime for free. I didn’t think anything of it or the fact that I obtained some free items for Fortnite as well. However, today comes some great news about a full list of free content coming to prime members. Starting March 15th, 2018 let the free games begin!
Here is the breakdown folks. Video Game Consoles usually have a shelf life of 5 years, depending on situations and popularity. Now, it gets tricky in this day and age where some of us don’t see a huge technological leap right now. For example Sega Master System – Genesis – Saturn and finally Dreamcast. That leap between those systems was amazing. Now we have PSOne to PS2 to PS3 and then when PS4 came out, it wasn’t that much of a huge difference, but the system itself was better and offered something more, but significantly less when it came to the dashboard.
