Mad Catz L.Y.N.X. 9 Preview C.E.S 2015

I never thought I would see a piece of tech and get slightly intimidated. The first time I saw this “controller” was on Mad Catz Instagram and was very intrigued. Let’s back track for a bit where I first started I didn’t enjoy mobile games that much since battery life was an issue for me, but lately I have been jumping on that bandwagon after certain devices started to show potential in that genre. Now we have this Mad Catz L.Y.N.X 9 hybrid controller that will work on PC and all android devices.

Now what made me take a step back is the price point which is $300 and for some gamers we would be putting our wallets back in our pocket. However after seeing the unboxing and hearing about the features, it almost makes me want make that pre-order happen. It is bluetooth ready and can transform for mobile travel, comes with an HDMI, MHL adapter cable, usb charge cable and a tablet stand that fits tablets up to 7 inches. So in that I am impressed, but still by saying it is under $300 is not feesible. It is $299.99, but you factor in the taxes you paying over $300 for it. Don’t try to sugar coat it, we would respect you more if you didn’t.

In the end it looks nice, but I would like to see it in action. If you want to pre-order hit up this link to for detailed information. Be sure to check back for more tech previews since C.E.S 2015 is going on right now. Stay frosty gamers!

That is…wow…So while it looks good, I’d hesitate to pre-order it too; not only for the price, but I’m unsure how compatible it will be with existing games such as the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest ports. If it were to somehow have compatibility with much if any fussing, I’d probably buy it because I HATE the controls of such games on tablets
