I don’t know about you, but I love it when developers decide to throw those that are curious a free weekend to try out their game. It shows a level of confidence that most do you not have. Hunt: Showdown the gun slinger fps horror title will be free this weekend on Steam Marketplace for anyone that wants to check it out before they buy. Here is a trailer for those that are curious even before the weekend begins.

I’ve said it before and I will keep saying it, horror games and I do not mix very well. It doesn’t mean I will not give you all a good laugh in playing them though. However, this particular horror has my interest since you are blind in a horror scenario, but seem to be able to see like Matt Murdock the Daredevil with sensory radar. The Deep End Games really wants to put you in a new style of horror by not only taking away your sight but being blind in a haunted house? That is just mean and in that let’s take a look at that trailer!

The Consequence Review

Iselynne

Iselynne is a viking and passionate gamer who finds it really awkward to write about them-self in third person. They are currently fighting a severe addiction to chocolate milk and their favourite Pokémon is Bulbasaur.

The Consequence is a direct sequel to the great previous DLC, The Assignment. The story starts right where The Assignment left off, so if you haven’t played part 1 you will most likely have a hard time understanding everything that happens during part 2. While the first DLC had a solid stealth based game-play, The Consequence has an abrupt change in pacing that results in a disjointed experience.

This review contains SPOILERS of events from the core game.

Whether you think The Evil Within was a good horror game or not, I think we can all agree that the story left a lot of questions unanswered. Even the ending was practically a big cliffhanger that suggested that the game might develop into a bigger franchise. With a storyline as confusing and fragmented as the one in The Evil Within, it was no surprise that Bethesda announced plans for two story related DLCs that would hopefully answer some of the questions that fans of the game were left with after finishing their playthroughs.

I know a particular female that would not mind having her very own Pyramid head action figure to haunt her room. Actually when I think about it there is more than one that admires this creepy Silent Hill badass who can rip the flesh off of a person with one hand like a chicken skin off a drumstick. All right so after that painting that pretty picture for you, but check out this preview pre-order information.

There is a particular art style that I enjoy the most when it comes to certain video games. The cel shaded look works very well with particular titles and the first time I was introduced to it was a game called Jet Grind Radio. That’s right the Japanese version for the Dreamcast and then XIII for the Xbox which was amazing, however still not many games utilize this particular art form, but when they do it looks amazing. In this pre-order trailer of Escape Dead Island, you will get that cel shaded art style in a lovely way. There is an abundance of color and the cartoon style works well for a zombie game. Keep in mind that this is the EU trailer, but the NA release date is on November 18th.

As a kid there have been many horror stories of Boogeymen that come after you when you are bad, but as we go into our adult that still lingers a bit. What would happen if the horrors that you are told become more than just a reality, but actually warp it. Mold the world right around you into one that is made for the things that bump in the night, what would you do then? I know my butt would be in the fastest car I could break into and drive as far away as possible, but that is just my logic. Happy Halloween gamers and welcome to this review of The Evil Within which is out for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
